Canoeing

Canoeing was the main method of water transportation before the invention of all the modern water vessels you see today.  Way back then these dependable boats were made of wood with two wooden oars to steer you wherever you go. The only drawback of this method was the fact you couldn’t steer very well unless you were a rowing expert.  You had to expect that you would go around in circles or in the wrong direction at least one during your trip.  Oars are at the mercy of weather and water conditions.  It has to be absolutely calm in order for your to have a smooth experience in a canoe. And then motor boats came into the picture.
Motor boats allowed you to steer wherever you want and get their multiple times faster than you would in a canoe.  Canoes didn’t completely fade away though.  Water sport companies came out with plastic and metal versions for people who still wanted to take part in this traditional method of water transport.  The wood canoes were often fragile and subject to rotting and pretty much falling apart over time.  Metal canoes dealt with rust and corrosion, but they were the best option of them all.  Plastic canoes were alright, but they’re plastic and thus near the bottom of the rankings when it comes to canoes.  Everyone who likes to canoe has their preference and each type of continue comes with its own unique set of strengths.  What other people might consider as the best canoe could be a piece of garbage in your eyes.  You never know until try each type out for yourself.
